2016-07-03 Virtually Madeup for July 4th

I tried Makeup Plus to virtually make up this morning and “share” with my friends on my Android tablet. I don’t like makeup and it never likes me. So it is perfectly fun to dress up without really doing anything. Ha! The ad showed red, white and blue on a model’s lips and I thought there would be some wild and silly things to put on. I settled for a couple of stars. Then I used my tablet picture editor to change the picture. I still wanted more! I looked for images of flags and fireworks. I used these to layer in Art Rage and made a virtual me in celebration. Happy Fourth of July!

P.S. Does it look like my tongue is sticking out? It isn’t.

2013-02-20 Seven with strike leads to issues with .png

I “drew” this illustration on ArtRage to make a decent image in a ping file so that I could embed in my blurb about the seven with a strike through it.  Part of a funny story…there is not a font for it and linked versions keep coming up in Internet Explorer, which I no longer use.  No matter what I tell it, default .png files use IE, mmmh.  Guess on a Chromebook, they will have no choice.  P.S. Yesterday, I researched a bit of Chromebook and discovered that there is no way to turn off updates.  My plan was to use NetZero (free) while I away from home, but to do that I need to stop all data transfers because, with just one java update for example, netzero cuts off network until next MONTH! Bummer. Illustration: https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1UIFox-QI5Vsx9_n7uGPzdMRV53vFyzoH-KNA825OUtg/pub?w=480&h=360

2012-06-07 Wikipedia Day

Worked on wikipedia.org updates for museum artists and pictures in database which is reference for fiction project.  Note: while updates seemed to work, I had some e-mails concerning the talk and recommendations for formatting.  My talk question was how to get the title(s) searchable, since the revision(s) I made were due to the fact that one artist(s) had several names.  Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art [https://crystalbridges.org/] list(s) Marie-François-Régis Gignoux while wikipedia has him as: Régis François Gignoux.  Added aliases to his website and references to the “Mammoth Cave” painting, a favorite at the museum which was also, necessary for reference in fiction project.
